OCEANWORKS IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THE RELEASE OF AN APP THAT MAKES IT EASY TO INTEGRATE OCEANWORKS IMPAC+ PLASTIC OFFSETS INTO SHOPIFY WEBSITES

We’re excited to announce the release of our Shopify App, PlasticPledge by Oceanworks. As the newest addition to the Oceanworks Plastic Action Platform, the release of the free to install Shopify App marks the latest initiative to lower the barrier of entry for brands to begin prioritizing plastic action initiatives.

After installing the app in your Shopify store, a store owner will establish a cap to the amount of plastic collection the organization will be willing to fund on a monthly basis. This cap not only protects you from going over a budgeted amount, but serves as a way to sign off on billing amounts. 

Once you’ve established your monthly spending cap, you will customize the triggers that will ultimately fund plastic collection. For example, you will be able to not only establish how much plastic collection is funded with each order, but also what spend thresholds need to be met before this is triggered.

Finally, you’ll want to integrate our marketing assets on your website. There are two types of marketing assets. Both are no-code methods for you to bring attention to your organization's plastic action efforts. They can also serve as a means to incentivize conversion or drive average order value.

1. Marketing Tiles: These can be situated both on product pages as well as in the cart, that alert customers as to how their purchase will help fund plastic collection. 
2. Marketing Banner: This banner is a roll up of the plastic collection your organization has funded to date.

Both assets are easily accessible to in your Shopify Theme Customizer, when you click “Add section.”
